Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Scrapiq("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit https://scrapiq.inor use any of our products and services. We're a small team and we keep things straightforward.
This policy covers two different groups of people: visitors and customers who use our site and APIs, and TikTok creators whose public profile data our API returns. If you are a creator asking about your own data, section 8 is the one you want.
1. What we collect
Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. We do not ask for your name, payment details, or any other personally identifying information for the newsletter.
Automatically collected. We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to count page views and understand which pages are popular. This does not collect personal information, cross-site identifiers, or device fingerprints.
Logs. Our hosting infrastructure may temporarily log IP addresses and request headers for security and abuse prevention. These logs are rotated regularly.
API usage. If you use one of our APIs, we log the endpoint called, the response status, how long it took, and an anonymised identifier for the subscription that made the call. We do not receive your payment details. Billing and subscriptions for our APIs are handled by RapidAPI under their own privacy policy.
2. How we use your information
- To send you newsletter updates about new products and releases.
- To improve our products by understanding aggregate usage patterns.
- To operate our APIs, including diagnosing errors and enforcing rate limits.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the site (e.g. our hosting provider, email delivery service), under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
4. Data retention
We retain your subscription email until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Anonymous analytics data is retained for as long as it remains useful in aggregate. Cached creator data is retained for no more than 30 days, described in section 8.
5. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days.
6. Unsubscribing
Every newsletter email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email [email protected] to be removed from the list.
7. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Data about TikTok creators
Our TikTok Data Pro API returns publicly available information about TikTok accounts. If you are a TikTok creator, this section explains what we hold about you and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we cache, and why
When a customer requests data about a TikTok account, we fetch it and store a copy for a short period. This is a cache: it means the next request for the same account is answered instantly instead of triggering another fetch. It reduces load on the source platform as well as on us.
What we store is limited to information already visible to anyone browsing TikTok without an account: username, display name, profile description, avatar URL, follower and following counts, total likes and video counts, and public metrics for recent videos such as view, like, comment, and share counts.
We never collect or store private or non-public content, contact details such as email addresses or phone numbers, direct messages, follower lists, or anything behind a login. We do not build profiles that combine TikTok data with data from other sources, and we do not use cached creator data to train machine learning models.
How long we keep it
Cached profile data is automatically deleted after 30 days at the latest, and hashtag results after 3 hours. Deletion is automatic and enforced by the system rather than by a manual process. We do not maintain a long-term archive of creator data.
Our basis for processing
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we rely on legitimate interests as our basis for processing this data: operating a data service that returns information the source platform already publishes. We have weighed this against creators' interests, and limited the processing accordingly, by holding only already-public fields, keeping them briefly, and honouring objections as described below.
Your choices as a creator
Email [email protected] with your TikTok username and you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold. We will send you exactly what is in our cache for that username, or confirm that we hold nothing.
- Delete it and stop. We will erase what we hold and add the account to a suppression list, so it is not collected again. After that, API requests for that account are refused rather than answered. This is permanent unless you ask us to lift it.
We aim to respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner. You do not need an account with us to make either request.
One thing we cannot do:we are not the source of this data. It comes from TikTok's own public pages. Removing it from our cache stops us processing it, but it does not remove anything from TikTok, and it does not affect other services that collect the same public information. To change what is public in the first place, you need to adjust your TikTok privacy settings or contact TikTok directly.
9. Third-party APIs and links
Our APIs are distributed through RapidAPI, which handles subscriptions and billing under its own terms and privacy policy. Use of our data products is also subject to the source platform's terms. If you are a customer storing data you retrieve from our API, you become responsible for that copy, including any obligations that attach to it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be announced on this page; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
11. Contact
For data access, deletion, or any privacy question, email [email protected]. For anything else, reach us at [email protected].
